Altura Recovery offers medication-assisted treatment (MAT) inside our PHP and IOP, paired with structured sober housing through a sober living partner for clients who need the structure.
Altura Recovery provides outpatient addiction treatment in Houston after detox when needed, or directly when medical detox is not required. Most clients begin with PHP or IOP, then step down as stability, cravings, and support improve.
Most opioid and fentanyl clients start with medical detox and a Suboxone or Vivitrol induction before transitioning to us. We coordinate directly with Houston-area detox facilities and accept warm handoffs the day of discharge.
From there, the typical path at Altura Recovery is Partial Hospitalization (PHP) for the first three to four weeks, then step-down to Intensive Outpatient (IOP) for two to three months. Clients who need housing structure live at one of our sober living partners throughout PHP and IOP.
Buprenorphine (Suboxone, Subutex) maintenance and Vivitrol injections managed by our medical team. MAT is evidence-based and dramatically improves survival and retention.

For clients who need housing alongside clinical care, Altura Recovery coordinates with established sober living programs across the Houston metro. We don't operate housing ourselves — we maintain working relationships with separately operated houses so clients have a stable place to live while they attend PHP or IOP.

Altura Recovery is an outpatient program and does not provide on-site medical detox. If detox is clinically needed first for opioid and fentanyl, we help coordinate it with a trusted partner and provide PHP, IOP, or Structured Outpatient care as the step-down afterward.
