Outpatient alcohol treatment at Altura Recovery means PHP or IOP clinical care paired with optional structured sober housing through a sober living partner — without taking you out of your job, your family, or your life longer than you need.
Altura Recovery provides outpatient addiction treatment in Houston after detox when needed, or directly when medical detox is not required. Most clients begin with PHP or IOP, then step down as stability, cravings, and support improve.

From there, the typical path at Altura Recovery is Partial Hospitalization (PHP) for the first three to four weeks, then step-down to Intensive Outpatient (IOP) for two to three months. Clients who need housing structure live at one of our sober living partners throughout PHP and IOP.
Naltrexone (oral and Vivitrol injection), acamprosate, and disulfiram prescribed and managed by our medical team when clinically appropriate.
Alcohol use disorder rarely affects only the person drinking. We offer family sessions, partner education, and referrals to Al-Anon throughout treatment.
Anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma drive most heavy drinking. Our psychiatric team treats both at the same time.

For clients who need housing alongside clinical care, Altura Recovery coordinates with established sober living programs across the Houston metro. We don't operate housing ourselves — we maintain working relationships with separately operated houses so clients have a stable place to live while they attend PHP or IOP.
