Self-pay: $7,500 to $15,000 for a complete PHP program.
PHP includes 20 to 30 clinical hours per week, psychiatric care, individual therapy, group therapy, and case management.
With in-network insurance: Most members pay $0 to $1,500 out of pocket for a complete 8 to 12 week IOP program after their deductible.

Altura Recovery is in-network with the major Texas PPO plans:
For Texas clients who need care from home, Virtual IOP and Ambetter Virtual IOP benefits can also be verified before intake.
We also accept most other PPO plans on an out-of-network basis, plus major EAPs (ComPsych, Magellan, Lyra, Spring Health, Optum, LifeWorks).
Three reasons. One: we're outpatient — no $1,500-a-night residential bed. Two: we're independently owned, not a corporate chain with marketing and acquisition costs baked into pricing. Three: we're in-network with the biggest Texas insurers, which means your plan pays the negotiated rate directly and you only owe your share of cost.
Sober living housing is billed separately from clinical treatment and is not covered by insurance — that's a federal regulation, not a policy of any specific plan. Sober living in the Houston market runs $800 to $2,400 per month depending on the program, neighborhood, and amenities. If you need clinical care plus housing, we coordinate with several sober living programs and help you find one that fits your budget. See PHP with housing.
Aspire Recovery Homes also publishes gender-specific Houston resources for sober living for women and sober living for men.
Yes. Most PPO insurance plans cover outpatient addiction treatment (PHP, IOP, Virtual IOP, and Structured Outpatient) at a meaningful level once medical necessity is documented. Altura Recovery is in-network with Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan, Cigna, Curative, UnitedHealthcare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. We verify benefits for free and most members pay $0 out of pocket after meeting their deductible.
Self-pay PHP (Partial Hospitalization) in the Houston metro typically ranges $7,500 to $15,000 for a 2 to 4 week program, depending on facility, intensity, and ancillary services. At Altura Recovery we offer transparent self-pay rates and most clients use insurance to cover the majority of clinical care.
IOP (Intensive Outpatient) in Houston runs $3,500 to $7,500 self-pay for a typical 8 to 12 week course. With in-network insurance most members pay $0 out of pocket after their deductible. EAPs frequently cover IOP at 100% for a set number of sessions.
Yes. After we verify your benefits we provide a written Good Faith Estimate that breaks down what your plan covers, what (if anything) you would pay out of pocket, and whether there are any deductibles or copays to expect. You decide whether to move forward with full information.
No insurance plan in the United States pays directly for sober living housing — this is a federal regulation, not specific to Altura. Sober living housing costs are paid separately, typically by the client or family, and range $800 to $2,400 per month in Houston depending on the program.
Most PPO plans include out-of-network behavioral health benefits that cover a significant portion of clinical care. We help you understand your out-of-network deductible and coinsurance and submit superbills on your behalf so you can recover what your plan owes. We accept many out-of-network plans.
