Partial Hospitalization (PHP) is the highest level of outpatient care — 20 to 30 clinical hours per week, five days a week. Adding structured housing makes sense when:

What a week looks like

Mornings start at the sober house — chores, check-in with the house manager, breakfast. Transportation to Altura Recovery's Bellaire clinical site for PHP groups, individual therapy, and psychiatric medication management. Lunch on site. Afternoon programming includes process groups, relapse prevention, CBT and DBT skills, trauma-informed work, and family education when relevant. Evenings back at the house include peer-led check-ins, 12-step or alternative recovery meetings, gym time, and house meetings.

Clinical staff and house staff communicate weekly so drug screens, attendance, sleep, mood, and risk signals all feed into your treatment plan.

Structured accountability through sober living

We don't operate housing ourselves — we maintain working relationships with separately operated houses so clients have a stable place to live while they attend PHP or IOP.

Step-down from PHP with housing

Most clients spend two to four weeks in PHP, then step down to Intensive Outpatient (IOP) while continuing to live in sober housing. After IOP, supportive outpatient and continued sober living protect early recovery for as long as you need. The clinical team plans the step-down with you, your family, and the house team together.

Out-of-network benefits available for most other commercial plans.
