Same-Day Admission · Houston
Altura Recovery offers same-day admission for outpatient drug and alcohol treatment in Houston. Free insurance verification, fast intake, and clinical programming the same day for most clients.
When you're ready, you're ready. We don't make you wait two weeks for an intake.
Same-day outpatient rehab may be possible at Altura Recovery when a client is medically stable and insurance can be verified quickly. If medical detox, inpatient psychiatric care, or residential treatment is needed first, Altura coordinates that referral instead of forcing outpatient care.
Three reasons. We're small on purpose — our clinical team isn't booked out two weeks like a hospital system. We're independently owned, so we don't have corporate approval workflows for new admissions. And we're in-network with the major Texas PPOs (Ambetter, Cigna, Curative, UnitedHealthcare, BCBS of Texas), so insurance verification doesn't get stuck in out-of-network gray areas.
Same-day admission isn't possible if you're in active withdrawal from alcohol or benzodiazepines and need medical detox first, if you require an inpatient psychiatric admission for an acute crisis, or if your insurance plan requires a prior authorization that takes more than a few hours to obtain (rare). In those cases we coordinate quickly with partner programs and bring you into outpatient programming as soon as you're medically stable.
Call or text 713-766-1330. If it's between 8 AM and 5 PM Monday through Friday, a real person will answer. After hours, we return calls within an hour. You can also verify your insurance online in 60 seconds and we'll call you back.
Yes, in many cases. If you call before noon, we can typically complete insurance verification, conduct your intake assessment, and have you in clinical programming the same day. Same-day starts are most common for IOP and Structured Outpatient — PHP often takes 1 to 3 days because of insurance prior authorization requirements.
Your insurance card (or photo of it), a government-issued ID, and a current list of any medications you take. That's it. We handle the rest — paperwork, medical history, and treatment planning happen with our clinical team.
If you're in active alcohol or benzodiazepine withdrawal, you need medical detox first — that's a medically supervised process that can be life-saving. We don't provide detox at Altura, but we coordinate quickly with detox partners in Houston and welcome you into outpatient programming as soon as you're medically stable.
Our intake assessment is conducted by a licensed clinical professional (LCSW, LPC, or LCDC) and includes a brief medical screen. If we identify a need for psychiatric evaluation or medication management, our psychiatrist or PMHNP will see you within 24 to 48 hours of starting treatment.
