Altura Recovery is a Joint Commission accredited outpatient drug and alcohol treatment center located in Bellaire, just in your neighborhood from Bellaire via West Loop 610. Our clients from Bellaire get the clinical quality of a major-metro program without the disruption of leaving home — they live at home, sleep in their own bed, and many keep their full-time jobs.
Bellaire is part of Harris County, and the people we treat from the area often come from Southdale, Braeburn, and the Post Oak corridor, around Evelyn's Park and Bellaire Town Square. Bellaire is an independent “City of Homes” fully surrounded by Houston and minutes from the Texas Medical Center, so Altura is effectively your neighborhood clinic.
We're independently owned, small on purpose, and built for adults who want to recover without putting their life on hold. Most of our clients work full-time, raise families, and live within 30 minutes of our Bellaire location. We're in-network with the major Texas insurers (Ambetter, Bellaire-area BCBS, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Curative members often have strong in-network benefits after deductible) and we accept most major EAPs.
Our clinical team includes a psychiatrist, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), and licensed clinicians who specialize in addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. When you call Altura, you reach a real person — often the same person who'll guide your care.
From Bellaire, take West Loop 610 into the West Loop and exit at Bellaire Boulevard. Total drive time is about in your neighborhood. We're at 5555 West Loop South, Suite 240, in Bellaire — easy parking, secure building, private entrance. Many Bellaire-area clients arrange carpools with other clients in their group; ask our admissions team if that would help.
Bellaire is one of the shortest drives to our Bellaire office of anywhere in Houston, so in-person PHP and IOP fit easily around work and family.
We treat substance use disorders including alcohol, opioids and prescription pain medications, cocaine and stimulants, methamphetamine, benzodiazepines, and cannabis — alongside co-occurring anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health conditions.
Most Bellaire-area clients can complete a free insurance verification, schedule an intake assessment, and begin treatment within 3 to 7 days of their first call. Call or text 713-766-1330 or verify your insurance online.

Altura Recovery is an outpatient program and does not provide on-site medical detox. If detox is clinically needed first for drug and alcohol, we help coordinate it with a trusted partner and provide PHP, IOP, or Structured Outpatient care as the step-down afterward.
Outpatient care at our Bellaire clinic — Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and Structured Outpatient (SOP) — combining individual therapy, group work, and dual-diagnosis support for any co-occurring mental health condition.
Altura Recovery is in-network with Ambetter from Superior HealthPlan, Cigna, Curative, UnitedHealthcare, and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. Most PPO plans cover outpatient addiction treatment when medical necessity is documented. We verify your benefits free before you start.
Many clients keep working. IOP runs about three sessions a week with morning and evening tracks, and Virtual IOP across Texas removes the commute when in-person scheduling is hard.
