Altura Recovery is a Joint Commission accredited outpatient drug and alcohol treatment center located in Bellaire, just 35 minutes from The Woodlands via I-45 North. Our clients from The Woodlands get the clinical quality of a major-metro program without the disruption of leaving home — they live at home, sleep in their own bed, and many keep their full-time jobs.
The Woodlands is part of Montgomery County, and the people we treat from the area often come from Grogan's Mill, Sterling Ridge, and Creekside Park, around Market Street, Hughes Landing, and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion. The Woodlands is a master-planned community well north on I-45, and the drive is long enough that Virtual IOP is usually the better fit for staying consistent.
We're independently owned, small on purpose, and built for adults who want to recover without putting their life on hold. Most of our clients work full-time, raise families, and live within 30 minutes of our Bellaire location. We're in-network with the major Texas insurers (Ambetter, The Woodlands-area BCBS, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Curative members often have strong in-network benefits after deductible) and we accept most major EAPs.
Our clinical team includes a psychiatrist, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), and licensed clinicians who specialize in addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. When you call Altura, you reach a real person — often the same person who'll guide your care.
From The Woodlands, take I-45 North into the West Loop and exit at Bellaire Boulevard. Total drive time is about 35 minutes. We're at 5555 West Loop South, Suite 240, in Bellaire — easy parking, secure building, private entrance. Many The Woodlands-area clients arrange carpools with other clients in their group; ask our admissions team if that would help.
The Woodlands sits toward the outer edge of the metro, so a daily drive to Bellaire is a real commitment. Many The Woodlands clients get the same clinicians through our Virtual IOP and reserve in-person visits for when they fit.

Altura Recovery is outpatient and does not provide on-site medical detox or residential treatment. If either is needed first, we help coordinate a referral and provide outpatient step-down afterward.
