Altura Recovery is a Joint Commission accredited outpatient drug and alcohol treatment center located in Bellaire, just 15 minutes from Memorial via I-10 / Memorial Drive. Our clients from Memorial get the clinical quality of a major-metro program without the disruption of leaving home — they live at home, sleep in their own bed, and many keep their full-time jobs.
Memorial is part of west Houston, and the people we treat from the area often come from the Memorial Villages — Hunters Creek, Piney Point, and Bunker Hill, around Memorial City and CityCentre. Memorial sits just north of Bellaire along I-10 and Memorial Drive, making it one of the shortest commutes to Altura of any Houston neighborhood.
We're independently owned, small on purpose, and built for adults who want to recover without putting their life on hold. Most of our clients work full-time, raise families, and live within 30 minutes of our Bellaire location. We're in-network with the major Texas insurers (Ambetter, Memorial-area BCBS, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna, and Curative members often have strong in-network benefits after deductible) and we accept most major EAPs.
Our clinical team includes a psychiatrist, a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP), and licensed clinicians who specialize in addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions. When you call Altura, you reach a real person — often the same person who'll guide your care.

We're at 5555 West Loop South, Suite 240, in Bellaire — easy parking, secure building, private entrance. Many Memorial-area clients arrange carpools with other clients in their group; ask our admissions team if that would help.

We treat substance use disorders including alcohol, opioids and prescription pain medications, cocaine and stimulants, methamphetamine, benzodiazepines, and cannabis — alongside co-occurring anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other mental health conditions.

Altura Recovery is outpatient and does not provide on-site medical detox or residential treatment. If either is needed first, we help coordinate a referral and provide outpatient step-down afterward.
