Sober Living

A Safe, Structured Path Toward Long-Term Recovery in Highlands

In Highlands, finding the right sober living services can feel overwhelming, but it is important to know that you are not alone in this journey. At Altura Recovery, we understand the unique challenges that come with transitioning back to everyday life after treatment, and we are here to provide the support you need. Our sober living program is designed to help individuals cultivate a healthy, sober lifestyle while reconnecting with their community. Imagine living just a few blocks away from the beautiful parks or local coffee shops where you used to spend time with friends. You might have a favorite spot on Main Street where you grabbed your morning coffee or enjoyed a weekend stroll. Our sober living services help you rediscover those places, but this time with a renewed sense of purpose and clarity. We focus on building a safe, supportive environment where you can thrive. What sets us apart is our genuine commitment to personalized care. We know that every persons recovery journey is unique, and that is why we tailor our approach to meet individual needs. Whether you are stepping out of inpatient treatment or looking for a fresh start, our team is dedicated to helping you succeed. From life skills coaching to family support, we take a holistic approach to recovery that goes beyond just sobriety. Many of our clients come from the surrounding areas like Bellaire, Galleria, and West University. They often share stories of how our community has made a difference in their recovery. One client, who used to live near Greenway Plaza, mentioned how much easier it was to stay committed to sobriety when surrounded by people who genuinely cared. They found friends in our program, shared experiences, and built a network of support that extended beyond our walls. That sense of belonging is something we prioritize because we know how essential community is in the recovery process. Our staff consists of experienced professionals who are well-versed in evidence-based therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). We integrate these approaches into our sober living services to equip you with the tools you need for lasting change. Plus, our dual diagnosis support means that if you are dealing with mental health challenges alongside addiction, we can help you manage both effectively. Flexibility is another key aspect of our approach. We know that life does not stop when you enter recovery. That is why our sober living program offers various scheduling options that can fit into your daily routine. Whether you have work, family commitments, or school, we are here to accommodate your needs and ensure you receive the support you require. Trust is vital in any recovery journey, and we have built a reputation in Highlands for being a reliable partner in that journey. Our clients often express how they feel heard and understood, which is crucial when dealing with the complexities of addiction. We have witnessed transformative results, and our team is dedicated to celebrating every small success along the way. Who Needs Sober Living?

Sober living isn’t just for people who have nowhere else to go. It’s for people who:

  • Are early in recovery and know they still need accountability and structure
  • Have completed PHP, IOP, or SOP and are stepping down gradually
  • Want to avoid returning to environments where substance use or toxic dynamics were present
  • Are rebuilding their lives after residential treatment, incarceration, or long-term instability
  • Are working, attending school, or reconnecting with family—and want support while doing so

Whether you’re a young adult navigating new independence or an adult starting over after decades of addiction, structured sober housing provides the consistency and support needed to stay on track.
