Virtual IOP is a structured clinical program, not a check-in call. Adults attend small-group therapy by secure video, meet individually with a clinician, include family when appropriate, and receive step-up guidance if virtual care is not enough.

Altura is based in Bellaire, Houston, so virtual clients have a real clinical team and a physical program behind them. If the assessment shows that in-person PHP, in-person IOP, detox, or residential care is safer, we will recommend that instead of forcing virtual care.

What's included in Altura's virtual IOP

This isn't a video stream of slides. Every session is small-group, clinician-led, and built specifically for working adults in recovery. You'll see the same clinicians week after week — not a rotating call center.

Each week you get

• 9 hours of group therapy — 3 sessions per week, 3 hours each. AM and PM tracks so you don't lose work.
• 1 hour of individual therapy with a licensed counselor
• Psychiatric care as needed — medication evaluation and management with our medical director
• Easy, efficient drug testing — kits sent to your door, completed with a clinical video proctor
• Family sessions — your spouse, partner, or parents can join from anywhere
• Aftercare planning — built into the last 2 weeks of the program

• You're in active medical detox or need 24-hour supervision — we'll refer you to a partner detox first, then step you back to virtual IOP
• Your home isn't safe or sober enough to recover from — sober living through our partner program is usually the answer
• You need court-ordered, in-person UA chain-of-custody for a legal case — we can do in-person at Bellaire instead
