Psychiatric & Medication Support
Integrative Mental Health Care That Treats the Whole Person
At Altura Recovery, we understand that healing goes deeper than talk therapy. For many individuals navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, or substance use, psychiatric support can be a crucial part of the recovery process.
We partner with trusted psychiatric providers to offer compassionate, personalized medication management and psychiatric evaluation for our clients. Whether you’re exploring psychiatric care for the first time or re-evaluating a current prescription, our team is here to guide and support you every step of the way. Psychiatric & Medication Support
01.
Why Integrative Psychiatric Care Matters
Mental health and physical health are deeply connected. That’s why we believe in treating the whole person—not just symptoms in isolation. When psychiatry works in collaboration with therapy, lifestyle changes, and community support, long-term healing becomes more possible.
Integrative psychiatric care considers the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual components of wellness. It recognizes that medication may relieve certain symptoms, but true healing requires a multidimensional approach.
Psychiatric care at Altura is never about “just taking a pill.” It’s about helping you:
- Understand your symptoms
- Explore medication options (if needed)
- Monitor and adjust treatment as you grow
- Combine medical and non-medical support
- Feel empowered in your own care decisions

02.
What We Support
Our psychiatric partners work with Altura clients experiencing:
- Anxiety or panic attacks
- Depression or mood instability
- Bipolar disorder
- PTSD and trauma-related symptoms
- Sleep difficulties
- ADHD
- Substance use co-occurring with any of the above
We understand that these conditions often overlap and evolve over time. That’s why we prioritize regular reassessment, communication between providers, and a personalized, flexible care plan.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for Addiction
For individuals recovering from opioid or alcohol addiction, MAT may be part of the journey. Our team can connect you with safe, evidence-based options such as:
- Buprenorphine or Suboxone
- Naltrexone (oral or injectable)
- Antabuse (disulfiram)
- Medication to manage cravings or withdrawal symptoms
When combined with therapy, accountability, and life skills development, MAT helps reduce relapse risk and stabilize individuals early in recovery.
We support MAT with clinical structure, education, and care coordination—not judgment or shortcuts.

04.
Psychiatry and Therapy: Stronger Together
Therapy and medication can work powerfully when used in tandem. Your therapist helps you:
- Process thoughts, behaviors, and trauma
- Learn new coping skills
- Develop accountability and structure
Your psychiatric provider helps:
- Regulate brain chemistry
- Reduce extreme symptoms (depression, mania, psychosis, etc.)
- Monitor your body’s response to medication over time
Together, they help you move from survival to resilience. That’s the power of integrated care.

05.
Psychiatry and Holistic Wellness
We believe that mental health recovery happens at multiple levels. Psychiatric support is most effective when integrated with:
- Nutrition: Food affects brain function. Balanced eating supports emotional regulation, energy, and sleep. We help clients explore healthy, realistic meal routines.
- Fitness: Exercise increases dopamine, serotonin, and confidence. From walks to strength training, we support realistic movement goals.
- Yoga and Breathwork: Gentle movement and focused breathing help calm the nervous system, reduce anxiety, and connect body to mind.
- Meditation: Developing stillness helps clients notice triggers, shift habits, and gain clarity.
- Therapy: Weekly therapy provides the space to reflect, grow, and stay on track.
We don’t expect clients to do everything at once. We introduce small, sustainable shifts that amplify the benefits of psychiatric care.

Do I Need Medication?
That’s a common question—and a valid one. You don’t need to decide that alone. Our psychiatric evaluations are gentle, thorough, and judgment-free. We’ll listen to your experiences and discuss:
- Whether medication may be helpful
- What options are available
- Potential side effects and interactions
- How medication fits into your goals
Some clients benefit from a short course of medication. Others find ongoing support helpful. Many try and adjust as they grow.
You’ll never be pushed into a decision—and you’ll never walk through it alone.

Psychiatric Support for Every Stage of Recovery
Whether you’re brand new to therapy or have been managing your mental health for years, we meet you where you are. Psychiatric care can support:
- Stabilization: When symptoms feel overwhelming or dangerous
- Growth: When you’re ready to function at a higher level
- Maintenance: To stay consistent, grounded, and clear-headed
We also help clients transition off medication safely if and when appropriate—always with support, supervision, and personal agency.

You Deserve Integrated, Compassionate Care
You don’t need to figure this out on your own. Whether you’re:
- Wondering if your symptoms are “bad enough”
- Trying to avoid another crisis
- Seeking answers beyond another prescription
Altura Recovery offers a space for collaboration, not pressure. We’re here to understand your needs and connect you with the right resources.
