Altura Recovery does not operate sober living homes. Altura coordinates outpatient PHP or IOP clinical care with separately operated sober living partners in Houston when a client needs structured housing during early recovery.

Aspire publishes separate Houston resources for sober living for women and sober living for men. Aspire operates gender-separated structured homes with active house managers, real drug screening, and a phased program built around long-term recovery, not just a place to sleep.
When Aspire isn't the right fit — different neighborhood, gender, faith-based preference, or pricing — we coordinate with other trusted partner homes across the Houston metro. We've vetted every house we refer to. We talk to their house staff weekly. We don't send anyone to a house we wouldn't put a family member in.

Sober living housing fees are self-pay in Texas. Insurance does not cover housing. Fees typically range $800 – $2,400 / month depending on house, neighborhood, and amenities.
What insurance does cover is the clinical side — your PHP, IOP, SOP, individual therapy, MAT coordination, and psychiatric care at Altura while you live in the partner home. For most insured clients, the clinical care is covered after deductible. Housing is the one piece you (or your family) pay directly to the sober living operator.

Housing fees are not covered by insurance in Texas. The clinical care you receive at Altura while living in the partner home (PHP, IOP, SOP, therapy, MAT, psychiatry) is covered by most major insurers. We verify your clinical benefits before you commit.
The research and our experience point to 90 days as the minimum and 6–12 months as the sweet spot. Clients who stay 6+ months have meaningfully better long-term outcomes than those who leave at 30 days.

Yes — most clients work, attend school, or do both while in sober living. Our IOP has evening tracks specifically so you can hold a job and still get clinical care.
No. A halfway house is typically court-mandated and tied to the criminal justice system. Sober living is voluntary, recovery-focused, and structured around peer accountability and clinical coordination.
Yes. All partner houses we coordinate with are gender-specific. We do not refer to co-ed sober living environments.
